  • Energy usage information (e.g., BC Hydro account details, past consumption data where you provide it

  • System preference and project details (solar, battery storage, EV charging, etc.)

  • Billing and payment information (invoices, payment records; note: we typically do not store full credit card numbers—if processed, it is via secure third-party processors)

  • Communication history (emails, call notes, proposals, contracts, and project documents)

4.2 Website Visitors & Online Interactions

  • Technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and time spent on our site (via analytics tools and server logs)

  • Information submitted through forms (e.g., name, email, phone number, message)

  • Cookie and tracking data where used (see Section 8 – Cookies & Online Tracking)

4.3 Job Applicants & Contractors

9. No Sale of Personal Information & Third-Party Service Providers

9.1 We Do Not Sell Personal Information

Netzero Solar does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third-party vendor, marketer, or unrelated organization. We consider client information strictly confidential and use it only for the purposes outlined in this Policy.

9.2 Third-Party Service Providers

We may transfer personal information to third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as:

  • Website hosting and email services

  • Customer relationship management (CRM) platforms

  • Cloud storage and backup services

  • Analytics, form handling, and communication tools

These providers are only given access to the personal information they need to deliver their services and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We require them to protect personal information in a manner consistent with applicable privacy laws.


10. Cross-Border Transfers

Some of our service providers may be located outside of British Columbia or Canada (for example, cloud services or software providers in the United States or elsewhere). When personal information is stored or processed outside Canada, it may be subject to foreign laws and accessible to courts, law enforcement, and national security authorities in those jurisdictions.

Netzero Solar takes reasonable steps to ensure that any personal information handled outside Canada receives a level of protection comparable to that required under PIPA.

We use and disclose personal information only for the purposes described in this Policy or as permitted/required by law.

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to:

After that time, personal information is securely destroyed, deleted, or anonymized in accordance with our retention practices.
